Meet Julie Mariotti, the Designer behind EV Custom Interiors
My design journey began in 2014 when my partners and I founded EV Custom Homes, our successful custom luxury home building firm based in McLean Virginia. Since its founding, I have led the design branch overseeing all decorative selections, including flooring, tile, appliances, cabinetry, countertops, fireplace design, lighting, wall coverings, trim, hardware, plumbing fixtures, color selections, exterior finishes, etc. Additionally, I provide project management services for our all of our projects.
Through EV Custom Interiors, sister company to EV Custom Homes, I have the pleasure of offering full-service interior design services. Services range from full-scale or partial renovations (I love doing kitchen and baths!) to fabulous refresh projects involving new furnishings and decor, lighting upgrades, flooring, window treatments, wall coverings, space planning, color consultation, and more.
Design has fulfilled and energized me. It has transformed my life. I look forward to every new project with excitement from the very first consultation to installation. I rejoice in seeing my client's own excitement and satisfaction when the project is complete. It is my biggest gratification.
I am also a residential real estate agent in Virginia, DC, and Maryland since 2012. My extensive experience in real estate has been an invaluable asset to me in my construction and design business, particularly in dealing with luxury homes. Whether it be new construction, renovation, or interior design, I always keep my eye on what brings resale value to a home. I know what buyers are generally looking for in a home - and what turns them away. I advise my clients honestly in all design and renovation decisions, so their dollars are well spent.
Of course, some decisions are strictly personal – "I've always dreamed of a bright blue study" – but then that is the joy of design...
As a final note on me, I am a Southern California transplant who ended up as a long-time resident of McLean, Virginia via Paris and the French Riviera where I have spent much time over the years. I have also travelled extensively. These experiences have definitely shaped my design vision as I love to bring a touch of European elegance, Southern California chic, and a splash of color from Marrakesh in all I do.
